Since I was a child i have always been a massive fan of media – music, television, film, theatre and books have all been constant loves throughout my life.

Whether it’s listening to my favourite songs on the radio, following the charts or attending a concert – music has always been such a strong connection for me.

My father used to work at Television New Zealand so visits to the television studios was the norm growing up, it certainly cemented my love for television and discovering new shows.

I started my media career at Melbourne radio station JOY 94.9 in 2010.

My first role was on the front desk answering the telephone.

I still remember the day a singer-songwriter came in one Saturday. He was unsigned and just another artist trying to get some airplay for his music – his name was Matt Corby, he is now one of Australia’s most loved singer-songwriters.

I then moved into presenting and producing – co-hosting the music industry show Sound Museum & the weekly Friday Morning Show.

Over the years I have been lucky enough to interview the who’s who of the Australian music industry, including Kylie & Dannii Minogue, Delta Goodrem, The Veronicas, Anthony Callea, Human Nature, Jessica Mauboy, Samantha Jade and hundreds more.

I’ve also interviewed some of the biggest artists and bands from overseas including Little Mix, Fifth Harmony, Neyo, Adam Lambert and Alicia Keys.

Since 2012 I have done red carpet reporting at the Aria Awards, The Logies and have attended hundreds of media events across music, television, film and theatre.

In 2015 I became JOY’s Interview Coordinator, organising all entertainment related interviews across the radio station.

Spending hours most days listening to new music, it made sense to add another string to my bow, becoming JOY’s Assistant Music Director – helping choose tracks for our daytime playlist and specialist programming.

Since leaving JOY 94.9 in 2018, I’ve been focusing on creating and developing my own media brand – combining my love of music, television, film and theatre.

With over ten years experience in the media industry, I’ve learnt that behind all the glitz and glamor there’s a lot of hard work – you need passion in this business, a thick skin and above all, to surround yourself with great people.

You can’t reach the top on your own – it’s the team around you that take you there.
